The Next Stewards

There would be little point in all the hard work and heartache that is being invested in protecting wildlife and habitats if, at the same time, we are not ensuring that the next generations of children grow up to become better, wiser stewards of the planet than we have been. We must help our children to save what is left and restore much that has gone before it is utterly too late. Which is why I am devoting so much of my time and energy to developing Roots & Shoots, the environmental and humanitarian youth program of JGI that I started in 1991. It is my gift to the youth of today, and I have great faith that they will hand on its philosophy to those who follow.
